Question by Bye...: Why does western media promote sex compared to East?

Alright I don't watch any American drams because I think they are boring and not my taste. It's just sex, affairs, story, then sex again. But I've noticed that the western media especially American seem to promote images of sex. Yet in East Asian dramas like Taiwanese, Korean, and Japanese I don't see any sex at all.

Most Asian dramas show affectionate love, like what conflict the lovers go through or the good times. Also instead of affairs, it just shows how 2 guys are fighting over a girl or girls fighting over a guy to win their love. So why do you think that is?

Because sex sells.

Asian dramas are okay, but their story lines are too repetitive. The girl is usually a doormat or a niave cry-baby, and the leading male is a jerk.
